This work was extended until 1622, when the temple was inaugurated with a ceremony. It has a rectangular altarpiece in the chancel, made by master Jerónimo da Costa, and one of the highlights is a tube organ built in Hamburg,Germany, in the workshop of Arp Schnitger (1701).
It is classified as a Monument of Public Interest.
